How Metanext combines expertise and environmental responsibility
Alain CORENFLOS, CTO of METANEXT, introduces Metanext’s expertise in a few words.
For years, we have been a pure cloud player, supporting businesses and institutions in their digital transformation towards the cloud—be it private, public, hybrid or multi-cloud. Our offering is simple and effective: Think, Build, Run the Cloud! Our approach is above all pragmatic: every innovation must respond to the operational needs of our clients. We design, create, and deploy ready-to-run solutions—without wasting time on unnecessary slides—in an atmosphere of trust and transparency. Our independence, maintained for over 20 years, means we are tied to no specific solution or passing trend. Since early 2023, Metanext has been part of the SII Group. To stay close to businesses and support the deployment and development of their cloud projects, Metanext has extended its presence across France: Île-de-France, Hauts-de-France, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Brittany, and Occitanie.
Why did you choose EasyVirt and its solutions DC Scope®, DC NetScope® and CO2 Scope®?
The first conversations between Metanext and EasyVirt began through a personal meeting at an event organised by VMUG (VMware Users Group) France. During that event, we each had the chance to present our offerings in a TedX-style format. Given our long-standing expertise in VMware virtualisation and our role in helping businesses transition to the cloud, it made perfect sense to enrich our service catalogue with tools that optimise the use and consumption of virtual and as-a-service infrastructures hosted by CSPs (Cloud Services Providers).
Our objective? To offer a “Solution” package with added Metanext services that allow clients to calculate their IT footprint (compute, virtualisation, network, etc.) and identify areas for improvement. With growing emphasis on corporate social responsibility (CSR), it became essential for us to help IT departments measure, communicate and reduce the environmental impact of their IT services. After closely working together, conducting an initial proof of concept (PoC) with DC Scope®, DC NetScope® and CO2 Scope®, and building a trusting relationship with EasyVirt, it became evident that we needed to bring this simplified offer to market.
How do EasyVirt’s solutions fit into your value proposition?
Our cloud transformation support is grounded in a pragmatic, transparent, and tailored approach, based on each client’s specific challenges and needs. EasyVirt’s solutions are easy to use, with intuitive interfaces, quick deployments, no agents to install, and ready-to-use reports—all provided securely (read-only access, with all data stored and analysed on the client’s infrastructure).
We offer EasyVirt’s solutions to our clients as subscription-based services, available in SaaS, on-premise, or white-label formats. We are also considering integrating them into our MSP (Managed Services Provider) offering. This integration supports a proactive approach in advising and optimising the management of our clients’ cloud environments, thereby reinforcing long-term relationships.
What’s the business impact for METANEXT?
Marketing our “Optimisation & Green IT” offering, in combination with EasyVirt’s solutions, has helped us reorient our IT approach toward CSR goals. We stand out in the consulting ecosystem by offering a simple, turnkey solution. Furthermore, thanks to our close connection with EasyVirt’s R&D team and its CEO, Martin DARGENT, we are proud to offer 100% French-developed solutions.

Any initial feedback or progress on the partnership?
Thanks to how easy the solutions are to implement and use, we quickly developed strong expertise in the tools. We have launched several communication campaigns and conducted multiple PoCs, easily and rapidly demonstrating the value of the solutions. The R&D teams are always available, open to feedback, and actively developing new features tailored to client contexts. Soon, one of our clients will benefit from a full DC Scope® deployment.
Your ambitions for 2023–24?
Today, every business is affected by CSR. At Metanext, we take these issues very seriously. We have already developed an offer combining services and tooling, fully aligned with client expectations.
In our view, measuring carbon footprint is essential—it enables companies in the IT sector to move beyond good intentions and take real action for a greener future. We’re preparing to launch dedicated marketing campaigns to encourage the adoption of innovative IT solutions designed to reduce IT’s carbon footprint. We will soon be hosting a webinar focused on infrastructure usage optimisation and carbon footprint improvement.
